Monterey CA is lovely, and there are several areas that are kid-friendly.
Camping - can't go wrong with camping. There's the Descheutes (sp?) river, down south of Roy, WA in Weyerhauser land, which is a nice, slow moving river that has some good campsites that we used to use when I was a kid (though a toddler might still be a bit small for that).
And if all else fails, just go for a drive through the Nalley Valley.
As young as yours are, I'm not sure what to recommend. But we love Leavenworth, WA. Closest thing to Bavaria in the States; Anna's Pension is the place to stay.
Where you been, girl??? I miss you! Hey....do you want to go to Kirkland Parkplace one Friday for a movie with the kids for that mom and baby movie day?

Long Beach, WA is nice, as is Ocean Shores.

Seaside OR would be a ball. It's lots of fun and very kid friendly.
