Stress

Why is it the older you get the more stress you have? I need to develop better coping for day to day stress. You know, the dress the kids, get to activites, cook the meals, clean the house, pay the bills kind of stress. Any suggestions would be helpful! I am already looking into Yoga and kick boxing.

I hear ya. I have a hard enough time holding it together without kids. I'm in for a rude awakening soon!! I also notice that the older I get the less well I roll with the whole time of the month thing. It's like a different person has invaded my body.

My sister has gotten into the habit of letterboxing; she seems to enjoy that. You get out, can take the kids with you and let them run, you get to relax a bit...

If you need to work out frustrations, there's really little better than racquetball.

I wish I had some surefire tips for you, but I think most moms struggle with what you're describing (especially as young as your children are). Can you afford a cleaning crew, even once a month? Are you paying your bills online? Are you overscheduled (piano/gymnastics/Musicgarten/etc.)?Are you playing music you enjoy while you drive, or is it nonstop Wiggles and Singing with Raffi? Monthly massage? (My orthopedist TOLD me to do that.) Shot of Bailey's while you're cooking? :-) I know that T.V. is not supposed to be a babysitter, but I had no qualms about popping in the "Sunday School Songs Kids Like to Sing" video while trying to get supper ready.

Biggest question: is Bruce also dressing the kids/getting to activities/cooking the meals/cleaning the house/paying the bills? :-)

Bruce does lend his hands EP. He is very good about changing diapers, bathing, feeding, clothing our children. He pays the bills online these days (I used to do it by check and just don't get a chance to sit for an hour to do it.) He just works a ton anymore. He doesn't get home until 8 or 9 usually 3 nights during the week. I have looked into cleaning, meal prep services, etc. I do need to put some of these things into action!
