Death by Molasses

An article in Wired this month talked about a molasses flood in Boston in 1919. Twenty-one people died. Can you imagine being killed by a giant wave of molasses? Here is a personal injury case if I have ever heard one.

Wow.

I have read about this before. It was like a giant tidal wave coursing down the city.
Kinda changes people's opinion of the phrase "as slow as molasses in January."
